Love Cube

Jake and I are horrible at keeping suprises from each other. Back in March, Jake bought me some Toms that were supposed to be for my birthday, which is in June, but he ended up giving them to me the day he bought them. Just a few weeks ago, I bought Jake a new Rubik's Cube for our anniversary, which is in July, and ended up giving it to him this weekend. I was just too excited!

The reason I bought Jake a Rubik's Cube is because it has sentimental value for us. When I first met Jake he had a cute little Rubik's Cube key chain. I thought it was just for looks and he didn't really know how to do it. Little did I know, he was a pro! Jake started teaching me how to do it and I was hooked! I ended up buying myself a cube and worked on it constantly. I was always calling or texting Jake for the next step in the sequence. This was also my excuse for communicating with Jake. We soon started dating and the cube became special to us because it was where our relationship started. Some couples have relationship plants, we have a relationship cube. :)

The first Valentines day that Jake and I celebrated together as a couple he made me the cutest Rubik's Cube!! It had different colored pictures of us on each side of the cube. It will forever be one of my most favorite presents from him! Since then, we have started to collect cubes wherever we can find them. I usually try to save them for a birthday, or anniversary, or something special... but sometimes I just get too excited! I do still have one stored away that he doesn't know about yet...hopefully I can keep it that way.

Where it all started, the key chain

My favorite one that Jake gave me for Valentines

The ball, digital, keychain, 3x3, 4x4 and my favorite
(Caden also has a 5x5 that we sometimes steal, we might just need to get one for ourselves soon...)
